Trapped

Ugh, so I had plans today. I was going to go to the bank, the grocery store, then to lunch with a friend and then out with said friend tonight. Well as i'm getting ready to leave, jacket in hands (cause i'm always cold in restaurants) I can't find my purse!!!! I looked for it for like half an hour, we don't have a third key, my car is locked in the garage and i'm pretty sure my purse is locked in there along with my cell. Thank goodness we have a land line otherwise i'd have had to send out a smoke signal....not because anything went wrong or I needed help or anything. I just wanted to make a cool smoke signal reference??!? Anyway, so here I am trapped at home and I AM HUNGRYYYYYY! Send food, Taco Bell please. Thanks.

Going to Colorado in my mind-James Taylor...errr, wait.

So guess what I did last Thursday and Friday. I volunteered to watch the kids at my church while their parents were at a Day Camp with the older kids. Real. live. kids, that cry and wear diapers and stuff. I've not been shy on here about expressing my very mixed feelings about children. But you know what...and this scares me to say, I actually enjoyed it...for the most part. I had two year olds the first day and then the younger ones the next day. It may have been partially because there were no major meltdowns and the kids were all really well behaved but it made my ovaries tingle a leetle. Ohhhh, lord. What have I done?

Anywho, Dane and I are leaving on Sunday to go on our vacation to ColoRAADa. I am SO excited. I love Rocky Mountain National park, so we are staying in Estes Park. I am SO glad that I have my new magnificient camera because I fully intend to take 678.7 pictures. Yes, that amount exactly, that is my goal. So expect some heavy Flickr action when I get back. I'm really hoping to get some frameable shots so we'll see. Later ya'lls.

My stinky dinner.

So Dane made bratwursts again tonight. I say again because we made them with my parents about two weeks ago. Is that soon enough to constitute "again?" Anyway, so I LOVE sauerkraut, onions and mustard on mine. Yes, I do believe that I was a stinky old polish man in my former life...in case you were wondering. So, I was happily preparing my massive stinky wiener when he walks by and goes, "Oh my God that smells HORRIBLE! Which yeah, it kinda does but SO, in a good way! And then he decides to get all specific and shit, "it smells just like a paper factory!" You know, where they like make the paper and there are big logs floating in like big ponds of God knows what and big industrial buildings and stuff.

Well, you know what.....He was exactly fucking RIGHT! It does! And people if you've never smelled one of those places I tell you what! I was driving through a town called Texarkana, it's on the Arkansas/Texas border.....yes they do touch...way down south, that 's why it's called TEX-ARKANA, get it, cute huh, cause the city is in both states.........sorry, I digress, anyway they have one of those paper mills there and I was cruising through the town one time on my way to somewhere when WHAMMO, THAT smell hit me in the face like a mother-effiing brick of ass. I could NOT for the life of me figure out what it was but I damn near had to pull over and vomit. Annnnnnyyyyyyyway, NOW only years later do I finally know what that damn smell was...........it was sauerkraut.

Colorado, take me way.................

I am so excited. Dane and I just planned a little get away to Colorado in July. We are gonna spend 4 nights in Estes Park. I have been there before and LOVE it! I would totally move to Colorado if my family wasn't all here. So I have just been planning some things to do. We'll hike of course. I want to catch some local music, eating will be heavy on the agenda as that is the best part of traveling! I also just planned a horse ride thingy at this place where they feed you a cowboy style breakfast and then you take a 2 hour long trail ride. I love riding horses and I used to a lot when I was younger. I'm sure i'll want to gallup and they'll only let me walk but it will still be fun. Dane has never been on a horse EVER so it should be funny. I'm gonna be evil and not tell him how bad your ass hurts the next day;). So anyone else have any fun summer plans?

Ummmm...I have no words to explain how long it's been.

So I know it's been a long time and all the jazz. I have been pretty busy with work stuff and home projects. I had decided to quit my job. For a multitude of reasons but mostly just because I love my life and wanted more time to live it, I didn't want to be bothered with work. I wanted to have all my time free to landscape my yard and play. Ok, hate on me now if you must, I'll wait.......................................crickets........................................................................................................................
But! I un-quit my job on Saturday. I am only going to work two days a week, Thursdays and Fridays wich is perfect cause those are the two days a week that my mother works. My dear sweet selfless mother who has been tirelessly helping me with my planting endeavors. See, the other Esthetician at work gave her notice like two days after me so i'm taking over her schedule of Thursdays and Fridays, it couldn't have worked out better. I was feeling very conflicted about my decision to leave. I really like what I do, save the dreaded Brazlians, I love most of my clients and co-workers. I have built up a clientele and while my boss makes me batshit crazy sometimes, I care about her and don't want to leave her in a total crap situation, call me a sap, I am. I'm also going back to school in the Fall. I have about 50 hrs of previous college credits but i'm kinda starting from scratch. I had never really declared a major before, I was just sort of aimlessly taking classes. I have decided to start the web design program now though. It will be a bit of a setback but I already have a lot of the prerequisites so that puts me a semester ahead. I am SO excited about it! I can't wait to start. Also I have some really cute video footage to post later.

So, that's what i've been up to. I'm thinking about going through a site over-haul soon so look for that! I'm really gonna start trying to post more regularly...have I said that before?:) How is everything with you my long lost readers, again......crickets.............................................................................................................................................

Been a long time been a long time been a a long lonely, lonely lonely lonely lonely time........---Zeppelin

PLANTING TIME!!!!!!!

Well, I unfortunatley didn't take a before shot of the flower bed spot, I really should have at it was a total nightmare. First of all it was filled with bricks, plastic of unknown origon, large chunks of concrete, weeds and the crappiest clayiest, rockiest "soil" you have ever seen! My mother and I completely gutted it, cultivated the soil both by hand and with a tiller...and then it rained. So we had to do the process all again. My husband is a very handy guy and he was installing a drainage system as we were doing all of this so needless to say, there were too many cooks in my kitchen. There were four of us (including my best friend Caroline, who i'm not sure was sure for exactly what she had signed up for) all tromping and digging around in my little 10 by 6 flower bed. My mom and I are set to work some more today so i will hopefully get some pictures this time..What have ya'll been up too? see ya later

We went to a wine shop last night with some of the girls up here, it was so quaint and very English. There was a really neat little folksy duo playing acoustic music. I love doing things like that.
In other news i'm really feeling SO much better, still a bit snippy and hot-headed but hey, i'm a redhead and now even REDDER!!
